Japanese box art

There’s something captivating about Japanese box art for both Nintendo and Sega’s 16-bit consoles. I’ve always preferred the art, design and the logos of both the Super Famicom and Sega Mega Drive when upon viewing them in magazines such as Mean Machines and CVG in years gone by. Of course, the 60hz performance improvement was the determining factor, but it’s the box art that aided my decision in making the Sega Mega Drive my chosen 16-bit retro console of choice.
