Back in the early 90s video game magazines didn’t get any better than Mean Machines. Originally released as a spin off from parent magazin Computer and Videogames Mean Machines primary focus was on the 8 and 16 bit consoles that were at the forefront of gaming during the same period. The import scene was booming during this time and the magazines coverage of, yet to be released games in the UK, was invaluable. What made Mean Machines great wasn’t just the quality of it’s content, but also the creativity and personality of it’s writers and art staff.
