Yesterday, Nintendo finally announced that the Super Nintendo Classic mini would be released on September 29th, which sent scalpers, honest gamers and retailers into a mad frenzy. While many people were coming up with weird and wonderful ways with which to hit F5 with a vengeance, my wife and I were in the middle of purchasing a car. Luckily, somehow, in between all the chaos of moving money between accounts and poring over the log book, I managed to snap up a pre-order on Amazon. Apparently, unlike their handling of the NES mini, Nintendo have made more SNES mini’s unit’s available than last years 8-bit release, but if the scrambling around for pre-orders and selling out across retailers yesterday is anything to go by, don’t expect these to be readily available on on launch. The console comes with 21 classic titles, including the never before released Star fox 2.
