Here’s what’s currently on my list:
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Wii U)
I’m still making my way through Breath of the Wild. It’s coming up to a year since I started the latest Legend of Zelda adventure and although I’ve defeated all the Divine beasts and even made my way into Hyrule Castle, the side quests, shrine quests and plethora of activities are a huge distraction. I really don’t see myself finishing up any time soon.
When I bought my Switch, my first purchase wasn’t Mario or even Mario Kart. Instead, I went for the recently released platfomer Celeste and I have not been disappointed. An intriguing story, tight responsive controls and an inspirational score, combine to produce a game that’s already in the running for my game of the year. What’s a start.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4)
V isn’t the best Street Fighter game; it’s iterative delivery in has not gone down well with the fanbase and casuals alike. However, Capcom’s latest entry in the franchise is still an enjoyable fighting game and the recent release of ‘Arcade Edition’ has reinvigorated interest. My stable of grapplers, Zangief, Alex and Abigail, in particular, continue to serve me well online, as I learn the AE specific balance changes and 2nd V-Tiggers.
